Phnom Penh is the largest, most populous and capital city of Cambodia. It is also the capital of the Phnom Penh municipality.
Once known as the "Pearl of Asia" in the 1920s, Phnom Penh, along with Siem Reap, is a significant global and domestic tourist destination for Cambodia. Phnom Penh is known for its traditional Khmer and French influenced architecture.

Ho Chi Minh City is the largest city in Vietnam and is located near the Mekong Delta. Under the name, Prey Nokor (Khmer: ), it was the main port of Cambodia, before being annexed by the Vietnamese in the 17th century. Under the name Saigon, it was the capital of the French colony of Cochinchina, and later of the independent state of South Vietnam from 1954 to 1975. In 1975, Saigon was merged with the surrounding province of Gia Định and renamed Hồ Chí Minh City
The city center is situated on the banks of the Saigon River, 60 kilometers (37 mi) from the South China Sea and 1,760 kilometers (1,094 mi) south of Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam.
The metropolitan area, which consists of Hồ Chí Minh City metro area, Thủ Dầu Một, Di An, Bien Hoa and surrounding towns, has more than 9 million people, making it the largest metropolitan area in Vietnam and Indochina.
Tan Son Nhat International Airport (IATA: SGN, ICAO: VVTS), is Vietnam's largest international airport in terms of area (800 ha/1,977 acres compared with 650 ha/1,606 acres of Noi Bai International Airport and Da Nang International Airport and in terms of capacity (with the capacity of 15-17 million passengers per year, compared to Noi Bai's capacity of 6 million passengers per year and Da Nang's 2 million passengers per year) and
also the country's largest airport in terms of passengers (with an estimated number of over 11 million passengers per year in 2007, more than a half of that of Vietnam's all airports), serves Ho Chi Minh City in particular and Dong Nam Bo in general in southern Vietnam. Its IATA code, SGN, was derived from the city's former name Saigon.
Vietnam Airlines (Vietnamese: Tổng Công ty Hàng không Việt Nam) is the national flag carrier of Vietnam, and was established as a state enterprise in April 1989.
Vietnam Airlines Corporation was subsequently formed in 1993, after bringing together several service companies. The company is overseen by a seven-seat management board, members of which are appointed by the Prime Minister. Vietnam Airlines used to be the major stakeholder in Vietnam's second carrier, Pacific Airlines, but its share has recently been transferred to the Ministry of Finance.
In the coming years, along with the strong development of Vietnam tourism, Vietnam Airlines hopes to expand its services further to the United Kingdom and United States of America.
Vietnam Airlines has ordered 4 Boeing 787-8 aircraft to be delivered from 2009, 12 Boeing 787-8 aircraft to be delivered from 2012 and 10 Airbus A321-200 for deliveries starting from 2006. The new aircraft will allow Vietnam Airlines to expand the network and replace some of its aircraft currently on lease in the fleet. Vietnam Airlines has leased an ex-Swiss Air Airbus A330 - 300 and 2 ex-Malaysia Airlines A330 - 200 within the year 2006.

On 1 October 2007 Vietnam Airlines signed an MOU for the order of 10 A350 XWB and an additional 20 A321s.
